As the clock strikes midnight amid the crisp January air, we bid farewell to 2024 and welcome 2025 with open hearts and hopeful spirits.
My original intention for this aquarium screensaver is simple: I noticed modern screens are flooded with endless pop-ups, fast-paced notifications and overstimulating content, leaving no quiet space for people to catch their breath during busy workdays. I wanted to build a no-fuss, gentle digital sanctuary that pops up only when your device idles, bringing soft, slow underwater calm without demanding a single click. No gimmicks, no forced entertainment, just a quiet little tank that turns a blank idle screen into a 30-second escape from daily stress.
This screensaver runs lightweight, stays stable, and never interrupts your workflow. Its slow-drifting fish, soft ripples and gentle light refraction are all carefully tuned to feel naturally calming, perfect for stealing a tiny peaceful break between meetings or while waiting for files to load.
My plans for 2025 are clear and down-to-earth: I will polish cross-system compatibility to make it run smoothly on every Windows device, add a handful of user-requested warm little details, and keep it free of ads, bloatware and intrusive updates. Looking ahead, I also aim to develop a fully-fledged ecological aquarium system with an extensive range of aquatic species. Users can create personalized underwater landscapes by mixing various ornamental fish, aquatic plants, shrimp, snails and other tiny aquatic creatures, and enjoy realistic natural interactions among different aquatic life in this virtual underwater world. I hope this year, this tiny quiet aquarium can settle onto thousands of screens, tucking a gentle slice of peace into the busy corners of more people's daily lives.
